“Why does it have to be like this?”Odette wondered.
“What do you mean always like this?”Paula asked as Odette was playing with her pen.
“I don’t know,grandma,stuff,mom..everything seemed like they happened for no reason.”the blued eyed shrugged and hugged herself.
“Everything happens for a reason,Odette.If it weren’t for a reason,why would fate allow it?
“Fate?Hah.Victoria and Henry are two of the world’s most stupid people,especially Henry.Why would she like that witch?”the frustrated teen twirled the ends of her hairs with her index fingers.
“That’s clearly a statement,eh?”Paula replied.
Odette smiled and left the dining table and walked to the big door-which lead to the outside of the house.
It was raining outside,Odette smiled as she sat on of the chairs at the veranda.She loved watching the rain fall.
Rain,Rain go away,come again another day.She wondered.
Now she wants the rain to stay,sometimes we would wish for the rain to come and sometimes we want it gone?
She hugged her blue jacket closer to her.The time was 8 at night,it was dark and cold-an autumn night .
Mom,why did you leave us so fast?We miss you so much ,mom.I know you’re watching us from above.
Odette whispered to herself and closed her eyes to hear the sound of rain fall on the roof top,the sounds of the precious rain falling.She missed the peace she once had.
To her suprise,she heard sounds of something pedaling.Wait,she was trying to identify the sound.She thought it was the neighbour’s kids.Wait,the kids would never come out late at night.
She opened her eyes to find Aiden on his bike ,smiling at her.
“HEY ODETTE!” he parked his bike at the corner and waved to her.She stood up and walked towards him and smiled .
“Good evening ,Aiden” she said as they both looked at each other in the eye.PAUSE!They both blushed and looked away.Aiden,as the gentlemen coughed and started a conversation.
“Wow,its cold out here,right?” Aiden said as he looked towards the sky.
“Yeah...it is..”she smiled .
Odette sneezed.He quickly took his coat and placed it on her shoulders.She was caught by suprise and looked at him.
“You’re gonna catch a cold,take it back”she said.
“Nah,u have it.You’re gonna get sick.You kno what,why not you go in first.Ill see you tomorrow.”before Aiden could grab his bike,Odette’s eyes widen and she grabbed Aiden and ran into the house.
“ODETTE!HEY!WHATS GOIN ON?”he said.The blonde haired hurried into her room and pushed him into her walk-in closet.
“Just stay here for 10 minutes”she said and closed the door.
He blinked and wondered-what am I doing in a GIRLS walk- in closet?He pressed his ears against the door to hear the door opening.
“Yes ,grandma?”Odette said as she stood up.
“Did I just see you with a boy outside?”Victoria became suspicious.
The blonde haired kept quiet
“Well,I will take it as a yes if you..”
“I wasn’t with anybody “her voice stern,firm .
WOW.Odette never had this voice .Wait,she never shown this other side of her life.
“Im not convinced.You know I’m always watching you,Odette”Victoria left the room with the IF-I-SEE-A-GUY-YOU’RE-GONNA-GET-IT look.
Oodette couldnt give a bother and slammed the door close as Victoria left.
“Come out,Aiden..and be quiet”she said as she opened the closet door.
“Oh okay..and why are we being quiet?Is something wrong?”he asked.
“Grandma’s gonna kill me if she finds out you’re in here.”she sat next to him as they both had no idea what to say.
“ I guess I shouldn’t have came..Sorry,Odette.”he apologized and lowered his head.
She shook her head and smiled
“Its okay.Grandma’s just grandma.”she smiled and yawned.
“hey if you’re feeling tired,you can go ahead and sleep first.I’ll find my way out”he smiled and assured her.
“No,its not polite.Ill wait with you until grandma’s gone”she said and picked her cell up.
“Paula,is Victoria still around?”she said while placing her left hand on her hips.
“Yes,why the question?”
“Aiden’s up in my room.”she answered.
“Oh,could you guys wait till 12?I have a feeling she’s having a meeting with Henry in the living hall”
“Alright then”she ended the call and sighed.
“Uhm..Aiden..You have to wait till 12...My grandma would be out by that time”she said as she sneezed.
“You should sleep 1st,Ill wait till 12 am.”he said.
“NO,thats rude.I’ll wait till you go.You’re the guest,and I can’t leave you alone.”she insisted and shook her head.
“You sure?I mean its okay with me if you want to sleep,I don’t mind” he smiled but Odette shook her head.
“No,its not alright.” He sound assuring”You’re sick,I can’t let you wait on my behalf,”he said.
The stubborn blond haired girl still shook her head and decided they both watch tv.
“yeah,I think that would be best “he smiled and sat next to Odette on the sofa and watched tv.He felt so odd since he’s in HER House,ON her sofa,watching with her tv,wow..a dream come true for a guy eh.Watching tv with the girl he loves.How romantic.Odette tied her hair into a ponytail and grabbed her blanket from her bed.
“What you watching,Aiden?”she asked
“I don’t know,some show.”he replied with a faint smile.
She was toungue tied for a moment.She had no idea what to talk ever since they met each other often and yes,they’re eyes locked a few times.Her blue eyes did make him blush and smile.
For a moment there she never felt so akward being near him,his smile,his eyes,they werent anything new but now they had these sort of ‘thing’which made her quiet and she dared not look at him straight into his eyes..She’s in love...Yes,she doesn’t admit it but she is..Her heart throbs as he comes closer to her.Her hands go warm when they both hold hands or even when their hands accidentally hit each other.
“ Oh,okay”she answered.She was shy and they both felt so akward being together.On the same couch,and she was in this blue top and a black skirt.He smiled as helooked at her .She dared not look at him but she tried to peep from the corners of her eyes.She wanted to just lean her head on his shoulder and wondered how it felt like.
*I wanted to feel what it was just to be with someone I want to trust someone for once.Just someone....for me to rest my head on.Just for a moment*she thought
